CasinoABC started as a small project (2023) between a few casino players who were tired of guessing which sites were actually safe to use. We signed up, deposited, played, and made mistakes, and realised most people don’t have time to do all that testing themselves.
What began as a side hobby slowly turned into a proper review resource. Today we still do things the same way: we play on the casinos we write about, check how fast they pay out, look at the support team’s attitude, and watch for any small print that could trip players up.
We’re not here to push anyone into gambling. Our job is simply to give clear, honest information that helps you decide where to play, or whether to play at all. Everything you read on CasinoABC comes from real testing and real experience, not copy-paste marketing.
I work in the online casino space here in New Zealand. I didn’t plan it, it just happened after I started looking into how games work and why some sites feel trustworthy while others don’t. Over the years I ended up reviewing a lot of casinos, checking odds, reading terms, talking to people who run the platforms, that kind of thing. The marketing degree from the University of Auckland helps with the research, but most of what I know came from actually trying things out.
I’ve been at a few industry events like the iGB Affiliate Conference in London and the International Gambling Conference in Auckland. Those trips helped me understand what the industry cares about and what players never hear about.
Most days I’m either testing a new casino, comparing notes with other players, or updating older reviews. I try to keep things simple and useful. If something looks unfair or confusing, I say so. If something works well, I say that too. That’s basically the whole point for me.
I’ve been in the casino world for quite a while now. I’m 30, but I started young as a roulette dealer in a big casino, so I learned early how games behave, how players think, and what actually happens behind the scenes. That job taught me more than any course ever could.
After a few years on the casino floor I moved into writing and reviewing. Since then I’ve gone through a lot of online casinos, tested games, checked how fair things feel, and written about what works and what doesn’t. Having been a dealer helps a lot because I notice the small stuff that players usually miss, especially when it comes to support, bonus rules, or the way certain games run.
My goal is simple. I try to be straight with people. If something is good, I say it. If something feels wrong, I point it out. We want readers to know what they’re getting into before they spend a dollar.
